Please have a look around and throw us down to the bottom of your 'favorites'. <br> <br> <i>Roll to Save</i> is the brainchild of Thomas Retter & myself; the result of several weeks of meandering over what to create as a project together. <br> <br> We decided early on to create a mockumentary-style web series, one which would allow us to pass off our relative inexperience in film making as stylistic genius. <br> <br> When Tom had the brain spark to focus on a group of hardcore gamers, we knew we had some kind of potential, but I also knew that to focus on the stereotypical video-gamer, lacing our dialogue with 'net handles and internet slang, would be to sentence our little project to death. There is such an influx of this material (some of it of a particular quality. Read: Pure Pwnage or The Guild. Most of it decidedly poor. Read: the Internet) that our work would almost certainly be washed away in a flood of World of Warcraft machinima. <br> <br> But board games? Thats much more of an untapped market. <br> <br> <b>Go on...</b> <br> <br> How about, it's not strictly about the gameplay itself? What if... it's a documentary about the lives of these gamers outside these games? <br> <br> <b>Getting warmer...</b> <br> <br> How about... a small studio has caught on to these gamers and now wants to produce a small feature, based not on them per se, but the RPG characters they have created? <br> <br> <b>I LIKE IT!</b> <br> <br> And... what if these guys are absolute sociopaths who inadvertently cause complete anarchy at this studio? <br> <br> <b>GENIUS!! </b> <br> <br> --- <br> <br> In any event, months of writing, prep and filming have lead us to this point: ...the point where we're almost finished. <br> <br> Episode One of <i>Roll to Save</i> will be premiering sometime in early August. We have prepared and filmed enough footage for near to ten episodes to follow, with more on the drawing board. <br> <br> So, if you're interested in our humble show, please check back often.
